The 16th Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography concluded with a musical closing ceremony. The Festival has again had gratifying results. Since September 7, 6'300 aficionados have visited the 23 exhibits by Swiss and international photographers, an increase of 5% compared to last year. The works exhibited under the title “See and Be Seen” and the numerous associated events have met with a great response from the general public and from photographers. The questions that were raised about the mood of contemporary photography in the age of new media and about its role in our multimedia society were widely discussed.
The 17th edition of the Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography will take place September 6 to 29, 2013.
