Bio

Ivars Gravlejs
(1979 Riga, Latvia) lives and works in Prague, Czech Republic. He studied still photography from 2000 to 2007 at the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague. He takes a banal, ironic approach to the medium and his artistic work involves appropriation, manipulation and intervention. Since 2008 he has worked as a photography teacher in Latvia and the Czech Republic.
